What Do You Think About Each Day?
There are only so many things you can control in your life. This is what I know that helps me stay grounded and focused.
TIPS FOR YOUR DAY

Practice The Golden Rule - “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you”. I’m not perfect and neither are you, so give yourself a break. Sharing a simple kindness with another costs nothing and creates an opportunity to change the other person’s entire day. If you’re not sure about this, then you’ve never been on the receiving end of someone’s generosity. Recently I had trouble putting air in my tire at a gas station. It isn’t typical that I’m not able to use an air pump but there I was! It was sunny and windy and only 20 degrees that day. Brrrrrr! A really friendly lady and her brother were using the other pump and offered to help. No argument from me! Five minutes later my tire is all better and I was on my way. Believe that people are put into your path for a reason.
You can control only what you see in the mirror. That’s it. That person staring back at you. Not what other people say or do, or how they react, so save yourself the wrinkles and stop trying. Your future self will thank you for the stress you avoid today.
No one is coming to save you. Having the love and support of friends and family is much different than expecting a white knight charging into your life and taking away all your problems. I feel the “Princess” culture creates false hope in our young women, and empty hope. Where are the real heroines standing up for those who cannot? If you don’t see one, be one.
Stop waiting for the perfect time to start something. This is a hard one for over planners and over thinkers like me. You say you’ll start when you have enough money, in your best shape, after you get a better job – the endless list of excuses goes on and on. Stop procrastinating and getting in your own way. Start small. Be ok with it. Nothing happens overnight.
There are no mistakes in the universe. We’re all exactly in the place we’re supposed to be in at this moment. Go ahead and try to dispute it. Next time you’re faced with a decision, consider how you know you’re making the right choice. Are you sure? What happens next is the path and regretting your decision leads to self-doubt and despair.
